Guest Ratings & Reviews
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were clean and very close to York center, but being on a main road and above a pub made them a bit stuffy and noisy at times. The service was excellent, with the staff being extremely helpful and friendly. The location was convenient, within walking distance of various attractions, but on the outskirts of the city center. The dining experience was inconsistent, good on the first day but lacking on the second. The facilities were decent overall.
The hotel offers nice and clean rooms with quiz games and books, friendly staff, and a convenient 5-10 minute walk to town. However, some rooms are very small. The location is excellent, just outside the city walls, providing easy access to all York city attractions. The dining experience is great, with a good choice of meals. The hotel facilities are top-notch, making for an enjoyable stay.
The hotel offers a mix of pros and cons. The rooms were clean and cosy with a very good shower, but some noise from the main road could be bothersome. The breakfast was good and the staff lovely and welcoming. Conveniently located about a 10-minute walk to the York center. The dining experience was excellent, though some cold dishes were served.
